A Few Pictures From Recent Workdays to Prepare the Site for
a New ATT Trailhead in Durham County
               September 25 & October 2, 9 & 16, 2004

Bill's sturdy truck found a new role--pulling down the foundation and walls of the very old structure on the property. More workdays will be needed to finish the site clean-up and prepare for grading of the widened driveway and parking area..

Dave Connelly getting the truck
in position for the first pull

Dan Clever inspects our
initial progress

Bill looking over the results on the back side

Mark and Dave watching our brief attempts at backing into the structure

Setting up the chain for
a second pull

Once the corner block was removed we made another pull

You can really see the results of that final pull
Progress in Early October

After work on October 2 the
shack is still standing, but barely

Another view of the shack

Bill after our October 9th workday leveled the shack

We filled a second dumpster--only the floor is left

On the 16th we removed the last
of the foundation too

We filled the third dumpster and cleaned
up most of the waste
