At long last, the water fountain at the Pittard Sears Road parking area is operating and being used (see image in previous article). With the cool weather in March, we decided to hold up on connecting it up a couple of weeks to be sure there would be no freezing problems. We’re still finishing work to refill and smooth over the trench line and to re-grade the area around the water meter. The Town of Cary put up a nice “Water Fountain” sign on the trail earlier this week. We also installed concrete wheel stops this weekend.
